The Unfortunates

The Unfortunates is an original project developed by Jim Mortensen (Emmy-nominated director) which is currently in the early development stage, about a family with different "superpowers". I had the pleasure to contibute with the project by brainstorming ideas for the main characters and their stories.
It's a comedy show but, honestly, the project has a lot of heart and the idea behind it is very moving. I really hope they can end up producing it :)

I had no idea if it would be a 2D or 3D series, so I just tried a bunch of different styles. I believe that if an idea works or is interesting to explore further, it can be translated into any style the directors decide on. It's about the concept, not the shape, at this stage.
Also, I left all the notes just in case someone wanted to take the time and read the ideas behind each design.
